The workshop introduces PMD Core Ontology (PMDco), an ontology for improving semantic interoperability in materials science, and presents the new version 3.0.0-alpha1 with central semantic patterns. The aim is to introduce participants with previous experience to the use and further development of PMDco and to invite them to actively participate.
The workshop on workflow integration shows how software tools can be integrated into the MaterialDigital workflow ecosystem. Topics include: Technical connection of tools to a workflow management system (WfMS), including interfaces and orchestration; semantic integration with ontologies such as the PMD Core Ontology (PMDco) for interoperability and traceability; data lifecycle: from data generation and processing to archiving and reuse. The event is aimed at developers, data managers, and project managers who want to integrate tools or expand workflows. The goal is to provide a clear introduction to integration and exchange best practices. The workshop offers: an introduction to WfMS, PMD workflow documentation, contact & participation.
The workshop serves as a forum for open exchange between the PMD IT architecture group and projects on IT infrastructure for efficient material data management. Prototype tools, the PMD satellite, and a demonstrator for data integration with PMDco 3.0 will be presented, supplemented by discussions on integrating proprietary solutions into the PMD ecosystem.
Join us for a social event on the second evening of the General Assembly! Look forward to a relaxed evening at DogTap (by BrewDog) Berlin-Mariendorf, with bowling, shuffleboards, a photo booth, pizza, and drinks in good company. A private bus will take all participants directly from the BAM to DogTap. You can use public transportation for the return trip to your accommodations—we will show you the relevant connections on site.
Places are limited to 60 participants – so be sure to secure your spot early! Participation costs €36 and is booked in addition to the General Assembly ticket. You can book the social event either directly when registering for the General Assembly or, if you are already registered, via this link.
The price includes a welcome drink, an additional drink, a pizza buffet, an hour of shuffleboard and bowling, and use of a photo booth and cloakroom during the evening. The bus ride there is also included.
